Celebration at the United World Chart (2nd Week)

Madonna / Celebration spends another week at #1 United World Chart!!! The world surely loves Madonna!!!

Although the album drops to #20 at the Billboard Charts, the world pays tribute to Madges double cd by making her #1 for two weeks. It is rarely seen that best-of albums get this kind of buying attention...and as a bonus the sinle is still in the top 10 at #7 on its 10 week!!!

Despite a 47% sales decrease to 172.000 copies, Madonna's best of compilation 'Celebration' holds the top spot of the global album chart for a second week. In 3 weeks on the tally the album moved nearly 700.000 units.

Michael Bublé's new set 'Crazy Love' follows close behind at no.2 with 169.000 copies. After only 3 days at retail in North America the album sold 132.000 in the USA and 37.000 in Canada. With the first full sales week 'Crazy Love' has a good chance to climb at the summit on next week's hitlist. The rock-veteran act Kiss bolts at no.3 with 'Sonic Boom' after sales of 153.000. TheJ-pop duo Yuzu brings the third highest debut of the week, 'Furusato' bows at no.6 (115.000) and reaches also no.1 of Japan's Oricon list. Teenie idol act Tokio Hotel starts at no.13 with 'Humanoid' (84.000). That's far away from their former effort 'Zimmer 483', which debuted at no.5 with 146.000 copies (week 11, 2007). Last but not least two country acts bowing on the current top 40: Toby Keith goes at no.9 with 'American Ride' (91.000) and Luke Bryan ranks at no.21 with 'Doin' My Thing' (58.000). Back to the top five, Barbra Streisand's 'Love Is The Answer' slides one slot at no.4 (down 48% to 127.000) and the Backstreet Boys rise at no.5 (up 21% to 119.000).

Let's take a look on the year-to date chart: Lady GaGa's 'The Fame' leads with nearly 3,8 million copies, following by U2's 'No Line On The Horizon' (3,4 million), Michael Jackson's 'Thriller' (3,3 million) and Kings Of Leon's 'Only By The Night' (3,0 million).
